Different Strokes for Different Folks: My Recovery Journey

I once felt invincible—healthy, active, and living a balanced lifestyle—until a subtle vibration on my left side turned into a full stroke one evening.

After being stabilized at in hospital, I was transferred to Rehab@Muelmed. There, an incredible team of therapists helped me regain mobility and speech, pushing me to achieve my goals. Within weeks, I could walk, shower, and navigate daily tasks independently.

After completing my in patient, outpatient therapy and a return-to-work program, I resumed my job, taking on my responsibilities with renewed vigor. Since then, I’ve reached remarkable milestones, including getting back into motorcycle riding—a childhood passion!

I was thrilled to participate in a Peer Support training program through Rehab@Muelmed, sponsored by Bold Moves. Now, I proudly support others facing similar challenges. A huge thank you to Rehab@Muelmed and Bold Moves for empowering me and so many others on this journey! Life is good!
